Consistently ranked among the world’s top 10 most livable countries, Australia has one of the highest numbers of international students, mainly due to the good education providers and better livelihood standards, such pedigree comes at a little premium

Overall cost will comprise of mainly three factors, your location of study in Australia, the course you are applying for and your education provider

For a rough estimate I am putting down some costs associated with living and studying in Australia (all costs are in INR for calculation purpose).

Once again this is just a reference figure also your overall expense would also depend on your spending habits.

  • Undergraduate bachelor’s degree – INR 10 Lakh to INR 21 Lakh
  • Postgraduate master’s degree – INR 11 Lakh to 24 Lakh
  • Doctoral Degree – INR 9 Lakh to 21 Lakh

Can I earn while I am studying there?

Australia does support and promote working for its international student community. You may choose to work while you are studying there, here are a few things to remember:

  • Work hours: You can work up to 40 hours every two weeks while you are studying, and unlimited hours during holiday breaks.
  • Workplace protections: You have the same protections at work as anyone else working in Australia.
  • Minimum wage: You will get at least a minimum rate of pay per hour no matter what job you do.
